Hybrid Innovation with Vibration-Enhanced Bass

The Kiwi Ears Étude features a unique Kiwi Vibration Transducer (KVT) that physically enhances low-mid frequencies with tactile vibrations, unlike traditional bone conduction. Paired with a 10mm Beryllium diaphragm dynamic driver, it delivers fast, deep bass and immersive 3D imaging. Precision tuning ensures tonal balance with natural mids and comfortable treble. Three custom BA drivers provide clear mids and detailed highs, creating a seamless, lifelike sound across the spectrum.

KVT: Kiwi Vibration Transducer

The Kiwi Ears Étude was developed to showcase the KVT - Kiwi Vibration Transducer. Our in-house vibration transducer is not like bone conduction drivers currently used in earphones. Rather, it is more akin to scaled down miniature vibration drivers that are used in bluetooth vibration speakers. The KVT uses strong N52 neodymium magnets that are suspended by heavy-tension spring systems that physically vibrate a conduction plate upon actuation by electrical currents. The KVT provides physical tactile vibrations to relay the sound, enhancing low-mid acoustics.

Beryllium Diaphragm Subwoofers

A 10mm Beryllium-electroplated diaphragm driver is utilized for the bass. Engineered to serve as a subwoofer, the dynamic driver dishes out incredibly precise and fast kick drum hits and rich bass guitar notes. Paired with the KVT, the lows deliver deep rumble and a 3D-like imaging.

Precision Tuning

The Étude has been carefully engineered to meet Kiwi Ear’s standards for tonal balance. The sub-bass is powerful yet controlled at 8dB to provide the correct balance between richness and clarity. The midrange is flat and neutral, with a 250Hz bass shelf crossover, which allows vocals and instruments to sound accurate and without any coloring. The treble has been acoustically tuned to be comfortable and resonant, establishing the Étude’s tonal balance.

Custom Balanced Armature Drivers

The Étude utilizes Kiwi Ears’ custom in-house balanced armature drivers. A single high-efficiency midrange driver delivers robust and undistorted fundamental frequencies of vocals and instruments. A dual ultra-high frequency tweeter is utilized to bring out microdetails and air within the music. Paired together, the transitions throughout the entire frequency range is seamless and natural.

very interesting IEM !

While the earphone housing is a bit large, it still fits comfortably in the ear.
Because the vibrations are physically transmitted to your ear, they produce a dynamic sound.
The mid and high frequencies are clear and not overwhelmed by the low-end vibrations, making POPs and similar genres really enjoyable to listen to.

Very Fun Set

Once a vibration transducer stopped working, if you feel like yours is defective you should tap the iem it on the back while in your ear. If it makes a springy noise it's probably fine, if not it might me Stuck. Mine was and I fixed it by simply tapping on the back of the iem a little harder to knock it loose. It works perfectly fine now.

Gym Good

The base of the etude is good not great! I am a confessed bass head. I feel the tremble is a bit weird on the etude. I love my bass but I want correct tremble when listening to my rock! At the gym I can put them in and do what I got to do & im happy. These are not a chill set. But them give me the musical energy need to finish my sets. Overall, I am happy with them and feel like my money wasn’t wasted! #olddadthatlovesmusic

Linsoul Great, Etude meh.

Guys have been on a roll, regarding the Etude, it is not my favorite of recent releases. I do not like the twangy noises they make, surpasses any other features. Martilo showed up and made forgetting the Etude very easy.

Great performance at the price - Bass Immersion

I purchased these primarily because I am a basshead and the vibration transducer would be a first for me.

I think that these are a great value and performance for the price. Personally, I have to put the volume higher than normal to really feel the transducer strongly, but I EQ'd to add a slight bass boost and I was able to feel the effects at a lower volume after that.

I am slightly treble sensitive and had no issues with the treble on these IEMs even at the increased volume, which I appreciated a ton!

When Your Favorite Band Drops a Jazz Album Out of Nowhere

Let’s get one thing straight—I’m a Kiwi Ears Cadenza connoisseur. That IEM was my daily fruit smoothie: smooth, rich, a little sweet, and left me feeling like my ears just got a hug from a beryllium angel.

So naturally, when Kiwi Ears dropped the Etude, I thought, “Yes! A Cadenza with gains! Cadenza, but make it jacked!” What I got instead? Cadenza joined an avant-garde jazz quartet, started drinking espresso at midnight, and now refuses to play any of the old hits.

The Etude is bright. Like, “forgot to wear sunglasses on a glacier” bright. Sure, the bone conduction tech adds some body—basslines hit with a kind of fun-floor rumble like a subwoofer under your chair at a theme park—but the upper mids and treble are having a party, and they didn’t invite warmth.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s technically impressive—clean, articulate, more separation than a celebrity marriage—but emotionally? I wanted Cadenza on steroids, not Cadenza left the band to go solo and started posting cryptic Instagram stories about “embracing the light.”

Still, props to Kiwi Ears for trying something new. If you love detail, sparkle, and don’t mind your music sounding like it’s auditioning for Cirque du Soleil, the Etude might be your jam.

But me? I’ll be in the corner with my Cadenza, sipping hot cocoa and listening to moody indie ballads like the warm little goblin I am.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 kiwis.
P.S. Please release “Cadenza Max” and take my money…

KIWI EARS ETUDE - Some of the most interesting tribrid earphones with a vibration driver!

✅MY CONCLUSION OF THIS HEADPHONES!
Kiwi Ears Etude is truly something special. These headphones really surprised me, and in my opinion, they sound and look much more expensive than they actually are. Personally, I was very impressed by their extremely balanced and warm sound, deep and tactile low frequencies with a real vibro-driver effect, and a very accurate, yet emotionally rich midrange, with surprisingly transparent, technical, yet comfortable high frequencies, all of which comes together to form a coherent, musical, and captivating picture. And this is exactly the sound that you want to pick up and come back to again and again, and I haven't had such emotions in a long time, but here I really enjoyed listening. In my opinion, Kiwi Ears Etude is a vivid example of how non-standard technologies, such as the use of a vibration driver, can be not just a fun gimmick, but part of a holistic, mature, and truly complete audiophile product. For a summer mood, for everyday listening, and for those who want to get the most enjoyment without compromise, these are a really great find, and I highly recommend these headphones for purchase!

Great intimate sound

The sound presentation, thanks to the conduction driver, was a bit unusual. The bass presentation moves deeper into the head, causing a physical sensation in response. I've described it before as a tactile sensation, and I don't think I was wrong. But it's also a pleasant, controlled, and well-presented bass. No exaggeration. The mids and highs are detailed, with a controlled, precise, and pleasant brightness. The soft, neutral tone of the Singolos seems to give way to a slight V-shaped curve, with an emphasis on the midrange and a slight hint of warmth (thanks to the beryllium?). The highs, delivered by the BAs, are precise and detailed.

The soundstage, I don't know if due to the conduction driver, is three-dimensional. It presents acceptable depth and width. However, the vibration produced by the IEM can interfere at certain frequencies. It's not severe, but it is occasionally noticeable. This seems to represent the only negative point I've managed to unravel.

In summary. The Étude's sound is quite sophisticated (a little wink for French speakers). They feature incredible detail, a three-dimensional soundstage projection, deep, detailed bass, and with the incredible implementation of the tactile element of the bone conductor, it's a very special IEM. I have no complaints about the sound (vibration aside), and in fact, it sounds like they'll be a full rotation for my listening sessions.
