With the Aether, Kiwi Ears takes your sound experience further.

Built with our largest planar driver to date, the Aether is our latest In-Ear Monitor designed to highlight every detail in your music. Handcrafted by our dedicated team, the Aether combines advanced technology and careful tuning to deliver a sound that feels both natural and immersive.

Our Biggest Planar Driver Yet

The Aether features the largest IEM planar driver we've developed to date. Equipped with a 15.3mm diaphragm and powerful, multi-layered N52 neodymium magnets, this driver delivers a sound that mimics the experience of full-sized headphones. Compared to typical 12mm or 14mm planar drivers, the Aether's 15.3mm driver achieves greater output with lower distortion, dramatically enhancing audio quality.

Speaker-like Sound

Thanks to the larger driver, the Aether not only improves resolution but also provides a wider, more precise soundstage and better imaging. Our newly designed chamber and improved ventilation help create an open-back headphone or stereo system-like experience. The result is an airy, lifelike sound, characteristic of planar magnetic drivers.

Tonal Integrity

Tonal integrity was a key focus during the design of the Aether. Adhering to Kiwi Ears' signature tonal balance, the Aether offers a natural, accurate sound. The bass delivers deep, subwoofer-like punch, while a mild mid-bass to mids transition adds warmth to the sound's body. The midrange (300 to 800Hz) remains flat for monitor-like accuracy, ensuring true representation of instruments and vocals. The treble is finely tuned to align with the human ear's tonal perception, providing a clear yet natural high-frequency response.

A Sound for Professionals

The Aether's planar magnetic driver excels in speed, responsiveness, imaging, and soundstage. Combined with its balanced tonal signature, the Aether is perfect for professionals seeking precision in sound. It also caters to gamers and audiophiles who want a highly immersive and engaging listening experience.

Detachable Cable System

The Aether comes with a detachable 2-pin 0.78mm connector system. This modular design allows for easy cable swapping to accommodate different setups or preferences.

One of the best sounding devices for the price if it's on sale.

It may not be the best overall Planar. It may not be the cheapest IEM with the best sound or the most all-round sound... but so what?
This Aether has something few others have. A brutal soundstage. A very well-crafted timbre... that alone makes it worth having, even if it's just as a second headphone in your collection. Its price is very reasonable, and I think it's a great value for what it offers.

Praiseworthy Planar

Kiwi Ears continues to impress with the Aether. My initial impression is that this can't possibly be just a single planar driver IEM, can it?

The detail and bass quality are so impressive that it's hard to believe it doesn't include any DD or BA drivers.

Despite its seemingly substantial size, the Aether fits comfortably in my small-to-average ears.

True to Kiwi Ears' signature tonal balance, the Aether produces a natural sound. The bass provides a deep, subwoofer-like punch with a touch of warmth. The treble is clear and smooth, making it easy to listen for hours without fatigue.

It's unfortunate that Kiwi Ears doesn't offer a balanced 2.5mm/4.4mm cable option, as the Aether sounds much better with a balanced connection.

If your budget is under $180, the Kiwi Ears Aether comes highly recommended. However, if you prefer a more forward and detailed sound, you might consider the Kiwi Ears Quintet.

Kiwi Ears Aether Review – A well made V-Shape Planar IEM!

The Kiwi Ears Aether is hyped up, and in my opinion, for a good reason. The beautiful balance here is well made, the bass impact is good and satisfied my bass needs, the treble is open, airy and sparkly. It is just what I wanted an IEM to sound like. For me, it is an easy recommendation for everyone, I cannot see anyone who won't like it. It is not too bright, not too bassy, not boring, it just does everything right. I see many reviews and people say that this IEM is good but not special. I am not saying they are wrong, but I don't agree with them. The fact that it is not trying hard to be special, and it is just good because it is good, and has good price for what you get, is awesome. You get decent V-Shape tuning, great technical performance, what else do you need? So yeah, I think its hype is justified. If you have the money, you are getting here decent value. Good packaging, cable, ear tips, and IEM. It is hard not to love it, really.

These are outstanding! They sound like my open back HiFiMan 400SEs at around half the price. The reviewers are right, these set up the benchmark for future Planar Magnetic IEMs. For the best Dynamic Driver set, check out the FatFreq "Deuce" Worth the extra C note; especially for 'Bass Heads'!
